Former Arsenal footballer Thomas Partey charged with raping two women
The Metropolitan Police said the midfielder faces five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault following alleged offences between 2021 and 2022. The Ghanaian international was charged four days after leaving the North London club. The sexual assault allegation relates to a third woman, police added. The force said it first received reports of an allegation of rape in February 2022. Partey, 32, of Hertfordshire, is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on August 5.

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office says it was notified just after 12:30 a.m. of the crash on Geneva Road near County Road 20. A 911 caller said they found the UTV on its side with the unresponsive victim still buckled in. The sheriff's office says he wasn't wearing a helmet. The boy was first rushed to Alomere Hospital with life-threatening injuries before he was "airlifted to a trauma center," the sheriff says. According to the preliminary investigation, the victim is believed to have been speeding when he lost control on northbound Geneva Road. The UTV then "rolled over multiple times." The sheriff's office says it's still investigating, and hasn't released the boy's identity, exact age and current condition.

The Cheveley Park Stud-owned four-year-old was not even favourite for her reappearance in the Group Three Lester Piggott Stakes at the end of May, but breezed clear of her rivals in impressive fashion. 'I thought she would see out a mile and a half and it made for pretty easy watching. She lobbed along and it was apparent in the straight, when a lot of the other fillies were coming under pressure, that when Danny (Tudhope) eased her out she looked like she was just doing a half-speed. 'It was a great sense of relief when she won as so much can go wrong in races and sometimes horses don't live up to what we think of them, but she certainly lived up to expectations. 'The ease with which she won did take me a bit by surprise, but we did expect her to put up a good show.' Connections have made no secret of the regard in which Estrange is held, with targets as lofty as the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe being mooted. O'Meara added: 'Amazing Maria was brilliant for us then we also had G Force, while Mondialiste gave me great satisfaction when we took him to Canada and he won the Woodbine Mile. 'Far more of those good horses end up in other yards, so we are very aware that we are very fortunate to have Estrange in the yard and Cheveley Park Stud have always been very supportive to us.' Chief among Estrange's rivals in Saturday's Group Two feature is Ed Walker's Scenic, winner of the Group Three Bronte Cup at York on her most recent outing and subsequently recruited by the powerful Wathnan Racing team. Walker said: 'It's a small field and fingers crossed it should be a good opportunity for her. 'Her plan since last year has been the Bronte, the Lancashire Oaks and the Yorkshire Oaks. That was always the plan and we're still well on track.'

The concert at the Principality Stadium reunites brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher for the first time since 2009. The PA news agency is in the Welsh capital along with tens of thousands of the Britpop band's fans soaking up the atmosphere. Some fans gathered at and took pictures of the Wonder Wall – a mural by Welsh artist Nathan Wyburn made out of 3,000 black and white bucket hats depicting Liam and Noel Gallagher. Tonight's gig has been 16 years in the making. Many fans feared it would never come because of Liam and Noel's stormy relationship. And the wait has been so long that some of the band's younger fans are seeing them for the first time on this tour. With a penchant for parkas and bucket hats, many fans have been eager to join in with the band's distinct sense of fashion and style. Some even took it a step further by imitating Liam's look completely. Fans have come from far and wide to see their idols in Cardiff. Huge sums of money have already been made from ticket sales alone. And this will be bolstered further when sales of merchandise are factored in.

Mystery figure dressed in black cat morph suit spotted near UK beach
The person, dressed in a skin-tight black cat suit and mask, has been caught on camera meowing and crawling on the ground by passers by as well as prancing around and approaching people in parked cars near The Derby Pool Harvester on Bayview Drive. One resident, Abbie Gilbert, who captured the bizarre encounter on video, posted to Facebook asking if anyone could uncover the stranger. The mystery figure was seen prancing along the path (Image: Becky Edwards) She said: 'Does anyone know who the freak in the cat mask and morph suit is at the coastal park near the harvester? 'I was walking my dog tonight and heard a man making cat noises, shone a torch, he was waving his arms at me before crawling up the hill. Never been so scared.' The person was seen wearing an all black morph suit with a cat mask (Image: Abbie Gilbert) Another video shared by a resident shows people in a car screaming as the figure skips along before coming up to the car window. More than 400 comments have been left by people with some terrified by the strange situation, while others thought the incident was hilarious. The figure was also spotted crawling on the floor (Image: Becky Edwards) One person commented: 'Absolutely not! Terrifying.' Another said: 'I don't know whether to laugh or be terrified.' A third person commented: 'That's the most Birkenhead thing I've seen all day.'
